This was a really quick silly project. I need to follow through and put better hooks on the bathroom wall a well and fix up the cruddy handles with electric tape. They sell different colored electric tape now, so it can match the room color you are putting it into. I was bummed that the inside of the clock was broken when I opened it. Not good for project photo shoots. I need to add a few more photo steps to this slide show. Mainly how to get the clock box out of the clock face without breaking the clock hands and put it into your project. I'll describe it here:
I turned the green clock into a photo frame. Surprisingly, the clear cover was glass, not plastic! I could call it an IKEA Hack because I bought the clock from IKEA. LOL!
Enjoy!
- Pull hard on the gold pin on top of the second hand. All the clock hands will come off.
- Take the clock box out of the frame.
- Place the clock box in position on your project, secure it, and add the clock hands back on the clock box.
- Put the gold pin back in. Done!
- Now insert a battery and set the time.
